We were worried that Tanzania would not live up to expectations - that it was now a playground for the super-rich, those willing to pay $50 at every park gate, hire guides and 4x4s and stay in plush safari lodges.
Well, you can do that if you have the means.
We didn't, but to our surprise and great satisfaction found that the country offered plenty to keep us entertained.
