Without whose help i could not even have started...

Many motorcycle riders dream of riding off to distant horizons in search of adventure...

But few get very far without a lot of support and encouragement.  Listed below are just some of the people that have helped, inspired, supported, financed or otherwise given me tips and information, know-how and wisdom.
Thank you.

---------------------------------------------

UKGSers - A rich and evolving internet web forum that contains more information about the most specific, random, crazy and just plain interesting situations than a motorcyclist could ever hope to need.  My first ‘big solo trip’ to Morocco was planned from the wisdom contributed generously by the members, and I have no doubt the forthcoming trip will benefit hugely from their ongoing passion for the BMW bike.
Horizons Unlimited - Another web forum loved by the overlander.  With a greater range of information, collected over many years from hundreds of contributors, this is truly a gold mine.  If you know what you are looking for, you’ll probably find it here.  If not, there are plenty of friendly folk to point you in the right direction.
Globebusters - Started by Kevin and Julia Saunders, globetrotting motorcyclists of the highest calibre, this company was fantastic in giving me the time and patience to sort out my life and participate in their Silk Road East adventure in 2011.  Realistically, I would never have been able to combine a full-time job with the detailed planning and timing needed to complete this leg alone - the goal posts move too quickly, too often for that.  Much of my final preparation was under their watchful eye.  If you can afford it and need a helping hand, theirs is a good one!
The Great Unwashed - I have long enjoyed reading the books and blogs of travellers, whether they are moving under their own steam cycling huge distances, or motoring  by two wheels or four.  I hope to convey the enjoyment and vicarious experience I have picked up from these hardy travellers when taking on my own challenge.  I will add links to the many tales I have enjoyed over the years.
Again, thank you.
Family and friends....
Mum & Dad, Steve, Jess & Davy, the DD’s and Speirs young and old, the Family Price, James & Cat, Ali and Lou, Johnny and Jo, Sally and Phil, the Minters crew past and present, Betty, Judy, Tracy, John Rhie, Katie, Anna, Abbie, Rich and team mates of yesteryear - the Arnolds and Butchers.  Tiff, Tim, Bill, Bruce & Syaufu, Andrew and Marg, Rory and JB.  Andrew and Cathy, Jorge, Sandro & Ximena.  Daan and Mirjam.  Fabrice and Severine.  Any many, many more.
When I’m solo with just my thoughts for company I’m sure happy memories will see me to the next horizon.
